In the latest 'Dow Jones Best in Class Index', LANXESS was selected as number one in Europe and fifth globally in the chemicals sector. The company received particularly high evaluations in the areas of climate strategy, water, human rights, and product stewardship.

International ESG rating agency Sustainalytics improves rating, moves to 'Low Risk' category.

LANXESS further improved its score in the sustainability assessment by Sustainalytics, an international ESG rating agency. This assessment evaluates companies' environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks, with a lower score indicating a higher rating. Sustainalytics has now upgraded LANXESS's rating from 'Medium Risk' to 'Low Risk'. LANXESS scored 19.6 points, placing it in the top 4% in the specialty chemicals sector and the top 6% of the global chemical industry as a whole.

This year, LANXESS's sustainable business model has also been highly praised by other major rating agencies. For example, the climate protection initiative CDP once again selected LANXESS for its 'A List' in climate protection and rated its water management efforts with an 'A-'. Furthermore, the sustainability assessment platform EcoVadis once again certified LANXESS with Gold status. LANXESS achieved 83 out of 100 points, positioning it among the top companies in the industry.
