About the role of the Monaco Government Tourist and Convention Authority
The Monaco Government Tourist and Convention Authority in Japan utilizes its network of overseas offices to promote tourism businesses on a global scale and endeavors to stimulate traveler demand for Monaco.
Through global initiatives, we are further strengthening cooperative relationships with business partners in the travel industry and creating business in the medium to long term. Monaco has various business event and leisure tourism facilities specialized in diverse fields. As a result of promoting the tourism policies advocated by the Monaco government, the tourism industry has gradually increased, and today, business tourism accounts for over 30% of the annual hotel room sales in Monaco.
While Monaco is known as a country where affluent people from all over the world gather, it not only provides tourists with various luxury facilities and services but also aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Towards this national goal, together with various partners surrounding the tourism industry, including the government, the tourist board, and hotels, we optimize limited resources, actively engage in global and marine conservation activities, promote innovation while preserving tradition, and continue to create innovative culture. We are rolling out various activities so that travelers will choose Monaco as their destination.
The Japan Office of the Monaco Government Tourist and Convention Authority provides various advice on projects related to MICE and leisure tourism as a national enterprise supported by the Monaco government, including stimulating business travel demand from Japan, participating in specialized industry events for the trade, expanding awareness to partner tour operators and travel agencies, and implementing promotional campaigns (special measures for travel agencies, presentation of tourism business measures).
