MixTEND Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Tomohiro Kitano), which operates the scheduling tool "Chouseisan," conducted a survey regarding this year's summer vacation and Obon period. The survey was conducted from June 1st to 15th among company employees, students, and others through "Chouseisan," and obtained 1,253 valid responses. This revealed that only a little less than 10% of all respondents plan to travel overseas during this year's summer vacation or Obon period. When asked for the reasons why those who once considered overseas travel instead opted for domestic travel, nearby outings, or canceled plans altogether, "feels expensive due to weak yen" and "high prices at the destination" were tied for first place.

Meanwhile, a trend of prioritizing "time efficiency" (taipa) was observed in outings. In recent years, the introduction of "Fast Passes," which allow customers to shorten restaurant wait times by paying an additional fee, has begun to spread. In response, a question was asked about the "intention to use Fast Pass" for this year's summer vacation and Obon period. The results showed that over 70% of those planning to go out this summer are willing to pay an extra fee to enter restaurants preferentially if there is a wait.
