Hotel New Akao Launches 'Half-day Hotel Stay' Plan for Non-overnight Guests

Hotel New Akao (located in Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture; General Manager: Toru Kume) has launched a new day-trip plan titled 'High-Quality Atami Stay: Healed by Scenic Hot Springs and Gourmet French Cuisine,' starting June 5, 2026. This initiative offers a new way to enjoy the hotel experience without needing an overnight stay.

Taking advantage of its location—just 50 minutes from Tokyo by Shinkansen—this plan allows guests to relax and enjoy the hotel's amenities on a day trip. In addition to a French dinner at the ocean-view restaurant 'Bonheur,' guests can enjoy the hotel's three hot spring facilities until 9:00 PM. Beyond dining and bathing, guests can spend time lounging while overlooking the ocean or strolling through the hotel's Showa-retro interior.

Dinner features a French course prepared by the chef using carefully selected local ingredients. Guests can savor dishes that highlight the original appeal of the seasonal ingredients while admiring the changing sea views.

Furthermore, the plan includes free face and bath towel rentals, as well as complimentary soft drinks in the lounge (during limited hours), allowing guests to enjoy the温泉 and meal casually.

A special discount rate is available for residents of Shizuoka Prefecture to encourage both visitors and locals to use the facilities.

'Bonheur' is a French restaurant located on the 3rd floor of the Horizon Wing. The 180-degree glass windows offer a panoramic view of Sagami Bay. The course menu (from June 1 to August 31, 2026) includes dishes such as seasonal Kanpachi carpaccio and sautéed domestic beef inner thigh.
