### ■ Results Report on Key Numerical Values in the Distribution Process for February 2026

**[Transactions with Contract Breeders]**
At P's-first directly managed stores, pets are traded directly from trusted contract breeders nationwide, without going through third parties such as auctions. From February 1 to February 28, 2026, the Pets First Group handled 1,578 pets accepted from contract breeders, consisting of 75.3% dogs and 24.7% cats. Transactions were conducted with 249 contract breeders during February.

Furthermore, to protect the mental and physical health of pets and as a countermeasure against the issue of age falsification in the pet industry, we announced in our April 2024 newsletter that we would be gradually raising the trading age for pets at P's-first directly managed stores from the legally required 57 days to 60 days or older.*1
In February, 100% of pets were 60 days old or older, meaning all pets traded with contract breeders met this criteria.

**[Pet Sales at Shops]**
In February, the number of pets sold at P's-first directly managed stores was 1,688, with dogs accounting for 76.9% and cats for 23.1%. The average age at the time of sale was 103 days old, with an average period of 41 days between arrival at the store and being welcomed by a customer.

Additionally, to prevent impulse buying and promote responsible lifelong care, we not only thoroughly explain matters during daily customer interactions but also require all customers welcoming a pet from a P's-first store to attend our 'Pre-Pet Arrival Seminar.'*2 In February, 1,688 groups of customers attended the seminar, and all of them proceeded with their contracts. The 'Pre-Pet Arrival Seminar' can be viewed here.

**[Regarding Transfers / Housing at Pet Care & Adoption Center Nikko]**
At P's-first stores, pets that require treatment after discovering an illness before sale, or that require continuous care or examinations, are treated as 'Care-Required Pets' and we search for foster parents at P's-first stores or our group's care facility, 'Pet Care & Adoption Center Nikko.' A total of 19 pets—17 from P's-first stores and 2 from Pet Care & Adoption Center Nikko—were transferred to foster parents.

As of the end of February, 47 pets were living at Pet Care & Adoption Center Nikko, with 44 pets—mainly those who have finished treatment or are in the recovery phase—currently seeking foster parents. Two pets are awaiting recruitment due to the grace period of the foster parent search agency service, and one pet is scheduled for lifelong care.*3

**[Regarding Cancellations]**
There were 8 cancellations in February. We take responsibility for the future of the returned pets and search for the best families. Of the returned pets, 7 have already been welcomed by new families. One is currently looking for a new family at a store.

**[Regarding Mortality Accidents]**
Unfortunately, there were 3 mortality accidents involving pets that had been treated at our medical center or the Pets First Animal Hospital after illnesses or diseases were discovered, and 2 mortality accidents at stores.

Regarding the 2 pets that passed away at stores, both were taken to affiliated animal hospitals immediately after physical abnormalities were observed, but passed away during treatment due to a sudden change in condition.
We will continue to strengthen cooperation with animal hospital staff to detect pet physical ailments as early as possible.

The total number of mortality accidents was 5, a mortality rate of 0.31%, and the average age at death was 75.4 days. The deceased pets were cremated and buried at Tajimasan Kunain via our Medical Center.

**[Regarding the Number of Pets in Our Stores]**
As of the end of February, there were 2,488 pets in our stores. At the end of January, there were 2,614.

In February 2026, out of the pets handled by the Pets First Group, there was not a single pet that was 'unsold' or whose destination is unknown.

### ■ Pet Mortality Accidents and Countermeasures in February 2026
The Pets First Group operates an internal 'Zero Mortality Accident Project,' led by our veterinarians in accordance with our management philosophy, aiming for 'zero pet mortality accidents.' We analyze disease occurrences and causes of death based on veterinary medicine and implement measures to prevent recurrence.

**[Comment from Dr. Inatomi, Leader of the Zero Mortality Accident Project]**
In February 2026, the number of mortality accidents was 5 (-8 from the previous month), and the mortality rate was 0.31% (-0.35% from the previous month).*4 The breakdown of causes of death was: 2 respiratory diseases, 1 digestive disease, 1 hypoglycemia, and 1 unknown cause.

February showed improvement in both the number of deaths and the mortality rate compared to the previous month. Both are at their lowest levels in the one year since March 2025.

Regarding hypoglycemia, which was confirmed most frequently the previous month, we believe that strengthening nutritional management from an earlier stage led to the prevention of severe cases. We also believe this contributed to the prevention of mortality accidents from digestive diseases, which are susceptible to deterioration in nutritional condition.

On the other hand, unfortunately, there were 2 mortality accidents due to respiratory diseases. While the number of deaths is on a downward trend due to online consultations introduced last year, leading to earlier detection and treatment, there are cases where respiratory diseases rapidly worsen. Going forward, while utilizing online consultations to thoroughly ensure the start of early treatment and visits to animal hospitals, we will strive to improve the breeding environment even further to respond to environmental changes such as temperature differences.

We will continue to prioritize the life of each and every pet and steadily promote initiatives aimed at realizing zero mortality accidents.

### ■ Pet Treatment in February 2026 and the Fate of Recovered Pets
To realize zero mortality accidents, it is essential not only to prevent diseases but also to save the lives of pets that have become ill through veterinary medicine. In such cases, our group provides treatment at the Wellness Management Center and the Pets First Animal Hospital, and after confirming sufficient recovery, we look for people at our stores to become their new families. Below is an example of a pet that recovered after treatment at the Pets First Animal Hospital in February.

**[Fever, sneezing / Treated at Pets First Animal Hospital Kichijoji Clinic]**
This pet was brought to the clinic from a store with fever and sneezing as primary complaints.

At the time of the visit, the inflammation values were high, and nasal discharge and sneezing were observed, leaving the pet in a very painful state. However, symptoms gradually improved through management in an oxygen room and drug treatment.

Afterward, the fever broke and the appetite returned. The kitten regained its energetic and active demeanor.

It is currently spending time energetically at the store. We sincerely hope that this little one will soon meet a warm family with whom it can spend time in peace.

Our group will continue to make improvements so that we can protect the lives of pets through disease prevention and veterinary medicine, and find families for all the pets we accept so they can lead happy pet lives. At the same time, by continuing to disclose information, we will conduct healthy pet shop operations as they should be.
