Pets First Group Monthly Pet Report for February 2026

Pets First Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Haruhiko Sakamoto), under the philosophy of “Pets always come first,” hereby reports the key indicators for the distribution process of its directly managed pet shop, “P's-first,” for February 2026.

【Regarding Transactions with Contracted Breeders】

P's-first directly managed stores do not go through third parties like auctions but instead deal directly with trusted contracted breeders nationwide. From February 1 to February 28, 2026, the Pets First Group handled 1,578 pets from contracted breeders, of which 75.3% were dogs and 24.7% were cats. In February, we conducted transactions with 249 contracted breeders.

Furthermore, to protect the mental and physical health of pets and to counteract the problem of age falsification in the pet industry, we announced in our April 2024 newsletter that we would be gradually raising the minimum transaction age for pets at P's-first stores from the legally mandated 57 days to 60 days. *1

In February, 100% of the pets were 60 days or older, meaning all pets transacted with our contracted breeders were at least 60 days old.

【Regarding Pet Sales at Our Shops】

In February, P's-first directly managed stores sold 1,688 pets, of which 76.9% were dogs and 23.1% were cats. The average age at the time of sale was 103 days, and the average time from arrival at the store to being welcomed by a customer was 41 days.

Additionally, to prevent impulsive buying and promote responsible lifelong pet ownership, we not only provide thorough explanations to our customers but also require all customers welcoming a pet from a P's-first store to attend a "Pre-Pet Welcome Seminar." *2 In February, 1,...
