February 2026 Distribution Process Key Figures Report
[Regarding Transactions with Contract Breeders]
At P's-first directly managed stores, we directly trade pets from reliable contract breeders nationwide, without going through third parties such as auctions. From February 1 to February 28, 2026, the Pets First Group handled 1,578 pets, meaning pets received from contract breeders, of which dogs accounted for 75.3% and cats 24.7%. In addition, we transacted with 249 contract breeders for pets received in February.
Furthermore, to protect the physical and mental health of pets and as a countermeasure against the pet industry's issue of age falsification, we announced in the April 2024 newsletter that we would be gradually increasing the transaction age of pets handled at P's-first directly managed stores from the legally mandated 57 days of age or older to 60 days of age or older. *1
In February, the proportion of pets aged 60 days or older was 100%, meaning all pets transacted with contract breeders were 60 days or older.
