InterContinental Yokohama Pier 8 Succeeds Operations Under New System from April 1st

Patience Capital Group (hereinafter, "PCG"), an investment management company specializing in real estate and private equity transactions with headquarters in Singapore, has, in cooperation with Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel Co., Ltd., and together with Nomura Real Estate Investment Advisory Co., Ltd., succeeded in the hotel operating business of InterContinental Yokohama Pier 8. With this succession, Mari Takara has been appointed General Manager, and operations have commenced under the new system from April 1, 2026.

Since its opening in October 2019, InterContinental Yokohama Pier 8 has been loved by many customers as a representative luxury hotel in Yokohama Minato Mirai, thanks to its rare waterfront location surrounded by the sea on three sides, and its high-quality hospitality based on a unique culture where Eastern and Western influences, nurtured by Yokohama, have merged and developed. PCG will continue to deliver the world-renowned hospitality standards of the InterContinental brand in cooperation with IHG Hotels & Resorts and Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel Co., Ltd., while fully respecting the hotel's legacy and brand value built by Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel Co., Ltd. Mari Takara

Her career began in the accommodation department at ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Fukuoka in 2009. Subsequently, she led teams as Director of Rooms at multiple IHG Hotels & Resorts properties. In 2019, she participated as an opening member of ANA InterContinental Beppu Resort & Spa, and after serving as Director of Rooms, Acting General Manager, and Deputy General Manager, she was appointed General Manager. Her achievements were recognized, and in 2023, she was appointed General Manager of Hotel Indigo Karuizawa. As a portfolio general manager overseeing two hotels, ANA InterContinental Beppu Resort & Spa and Hotel Indigo Karuizawa, she has led strategic promotion and organizational strengthening.
