[Held on May 15, 13:00] First Briefing Session & Study Group for IP Expert Dispatch Program to VCs (VCIPAS) - What are the IP DD Procedures for Investment Review Utilizing Generative AI?

The Japan Patent Office will hold the first briefing session and study group for the IP Expert Dispatch Program to VCs (VCIPAS) on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 13:00 to 15:30.

VC-IPAS is a program that accelerates the growth of startups by dispatching intellectual property experts such as patent attorneys and lawyers to VCs that support startups (investment, management support, etc.), providing support for building IP strategies linked to business strategies for startups both before and after investment.

We will hold the first briefing session and study group regarding this program.

Experts will explain the details of this program and the IP due diligence (DD) procedures for investment review utilizing generative AI, which was compiled through last year's program (the 'IP DD Manual for Capitalists'). This manual includes guidelines for prompt creation, example prompts for various IP tasks, and examples of outputs generated by prompts.
