Revamping packaging for 21 products to become more integrated into daily life
The 'Life on' series has long been built on the concept of creating tools that can be used for years, seamlessly supporting everyday life.
This renewal updates the packaging for 21 products, including peelers, can openers, and graters. The products’ specifications and designs remain unchanged, preserving the long-life design philosophy, while the packaging itself has been modernized for today’s era.
In conjunction with this renewal, the product line previously branded as 'Life on' will be gradually integrated into the 'PRINCE' brand.
While these products have primarily been available at supermarkets and department stores, the company aims to expand their presence to lifestyle goods shops and other retail spaces closer to consumers’ daily lives.
Using Recycled Paper for Greater Environmental Consideration
The new packaging uses recycled paper for the backing card.
Additionally, the coating previously applied to the surface of the backing card has been revised to reduce environmental impact. The result is a simple, natural finish that highlights the texture of the materials themselves.
Reducing Solid Black Printing to Significantly Cut Ink Usage
The previous packaging featured a heavy, solid black design covering the entire surface.
This renewal revises that approach, minimizing printing to only essential elements, thereby significantly reducing ink consumption.
The new design feels lighter and more approachable, allowing the product’s material texture and form to stand out more clearly.
