Platinum Career Center Expands Side and Concurrent Job Consultation Services for Individuals Over 50 to Tama Area, Opens June Appointments

Platinum Career Center expands consultation opportunities for side jobs and concurrent employment for those over 50 to the Tama region. The "Platinum Career Center," a project by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Foundation for Employment Services, provides individual consultations on side jobs, concurrent employment, and future careers for employed individuals aged 50 and over. Since April 2026, the "Individual Consultation on Side/Concurrent Jobs and Careers" previously held at the Platinum Career Center in Toranomon has been offered as an on-site consultation service in the Tama region as well. In addition to the session on May 22 (Fri), reservations for the June 2026 sessions began on May 11. The venue, Tokyo Shigoto Center Tama, is a 4-minute walk from the south exit of JR Tachikawa Station, making it an accessible location for those living or working in the Tama area. You can have an in-depth, one-on-one consultation with a specialized counselor about how to start and proceed with side/concurrent jobs, and how to think about your future career based on your experience. Even if you're at a stage where you're 'not sure what to ask,' 'interested in side/concurrent jobs but haven't found the right fit,' or 'want to think about future work styles while continuing your current job,' our counselors will listen and help you organize your thoughts and set a direction. The Platinum Career Center plans to continue holding useful seminars and networking events to meet companies in the Tama region. We will support individuals aged 50 and over living or working in the Tama area to think about and take action towards a second career that utilizes their experience.
