Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi: Guest Rooms and Lobby Reopen with a New Chapter as a "Contemporary Manor in the Heart of Tokyo"

Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; General Manager: Jens Wyissick) has completed the renovation of its guest rooms and the 1st-floor lobby area, which began on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, and reopened on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

This major project was undertaken by "André Fu Studio," led by world-renowned architect André Fu, representing Hong Kong.

A Contemporary Manor in the Heart of Tokyo

Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi has been reborn as a "contemporary manor in the heart of Tokyo" through André Fu's design.

Based on André Fu's vision of modern luxury, "serenity and elegance," this philosophy is beautifully embodied through design and architecture reflected in every detail.

Throughout the space, guests can experience a beautiful fusion of Tokyo's sophisticated international sensibility and Japanese aesthetics.

■ About the Lobby Lounge

Designed with a tea room motif, the space harmonizes traditional Japanese aesthetics with the sophistication of an international luxury hotel.

It is not merely a reproduction of a tea room, but a modern interpretation of its essence as a place to welcome and entertain guests, projecting that philosophy into the lobby. Similarly, at Four Seasons, the lobby is positioned as a "gate" where hospitality begins, going beyond just the check-in function. Under this shared philosophy, André Fu expressed this spirituality throughout the entire space.

Furthermore, the lighting is designed to cast soft light in various places. The interplay of light and shadow is akin to the Japanese concept of "komorebi" (sunlight filtering through trees), designed to evoke tranquility and peace, as if the sun's rays are gently piercing through the foliage. Even though it is right next to a vibrant city, that spot alone feels like a sanctuary enveloped in silence.

Moreover, the lobby also serves as a "filter," gently softening the city's hustle and bustle through a gradually unfolding approach, creating a smooth transition connecting the inside and outside.

The gaze is directed inward rather than outward, creating a psychological separation as if enveloped in a quiet space (cocoon) protected from the outside world.

Within a quiet moment filled with privacy, guests can experience refined hospitality from the very beginning of their journey.

With just 57 guest rooms, the hotel was designed with the concept of a "manor-like space" in mind.

The warm wood tones possess a tactile presence, and bespoke furniture with soft curves is arranged upon them, creating a comforting sensation as if embraced by this warm atmosphere.

Corner Ginza Room

This guest room deliberately avoids clear divisions such as "entrance, bedroom, bathroom" typically found in hotels, instead designing the entire space with a flowing circulation. This integrated configuration creates a natural sense of relaxation, as if one is in a private residence, allowing guests to experience an elegant and unhurried passage of time.

Furthermore, by layering gentle cherry blossom pinks, deep turquoises, and coppers, a sophisticated space combining "visual serenity" and "warmth" has been created.
