Announcement of New President Appointment

We are pleased to announce that Kostas Salvaras has been appointed President of Philip Morris Japan G.K. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter PMJ), effective May 1, 2026.

Kostas Salvaras joined Philip Morris International (PMI) EU branch in 1996. In Greece, he was extensively involved in marketing, sales, and management, holding key positions. In 2010, he was appointed Vice President for the Southern Russia region. Subsequently, he served as Vice President for Russia and Belarus, and in 2016, he led the country's business as Vice President of the RRP (Reduced Risk Products) division. He then moved to PMJ in 2018, where he worked on business promotion as Director of Consumer Programs. In 2020, he was appointed Managing Director for Ukraine, the Caucasus region, and Moldova. In 2022, he served as President of Russia, and in 2023, as Vice President of Smoke-Free Products for the United States, accumulating extensive management experience across diverse regions and areas.
