Since its opening on June 1, 2023, 358 trainees have completed their training at this academy. This time, 25 Nepali technical intern trainees will attend the 'Narita Hospitality Academy' for about one month from May 14 to June 12.

The 'Narita Hospitality Academy' provides a training program for technical intern trainees aspiring to work in the hospitality industry. In addition to Japanese language and general lifestyle learning programs, MRM offers a specialized hotel classroom lecture program to cultivate highly hospitable human resources. This unique program was developed under the supervision of the Iconia Hospitality Hotel Group, which operates various types of hotels throughout Japan, from limited-service to full-service resort hotels, to support a smooth start for technical interns at their assigned workplaces.

To realize its unique program, the academy is equipped with mock-up rooms that replicate hotel Western-style and Japanese-style rooms. Furthermore, the private rooms for each person are hygienic and safe, equipped with air conditioning, a mini-fridge, a toilet, a bath, and Wi-Fi. Other facilities include a laundry room and a BBQ terrace in the garden where trainees can deepen their communication, creating an environment where trainees can concentrate on their studies comfortably while maintaining their privacy during long-term stays.

Additionally, the opening of an annex near the main academy building has expanded its capacity, allowing for the acceptance of more trainees.

Village House will continue to provide optimal learning environments for technical intern trainees to have a better learning experience in Japan and will support many trainees to start their internships smoothly and with peace of mind at their assigned workplaces.

Village House has been working on multilingual support since June 2019 to improve services for foreigners, and currently has a service system in Portuguese, English, Vietnamese, Nepali, Indonesian, and Burmese. The company not only handles contracts and move-in procedures but also offers consultation after moving in, creating a system where foreigners can receive services in their native language with peace of mind. In addition to this initiative, Village House will continue to play a part in solving local housing issues by sequentially renovating properties according to the surrounding conditions and the needs of prospective tenants, thereby further activating the properties.

Background of the opening of 'Narita Hospitality Academy'

The manufacturing industry accepts many foreign technical intern trainees and specified skilled workers, while the hotel industry still has a limited track record. Although the tourism industry was severely damaged by the spread of COVID-19, it is on a recovery trend, boosted by the 'Nationwide Travel Support' tourism demand stimulus measures. In this context, we recognized the need to develop an acceptance system with a view to actively utilizing foreign human resources, which led to the opening of the specialized post-arrival training facility 'Narita Hospitality Academy' in June 2023.
