The Beyond SDGs Public-Private Council (Chair: Professor Norichika Kanie, Graduate School of Media and Governance, Keio University) will hold the "3rd Beyond SDGs Public-Private Council Forum" on Friday, July 3, 2026, as an interim platform for reporting progress and discussing proposals toward international goals beyond 2030.

As the 2030 deadline for achieving the SDGs approaches, while global efforts continue toward their fulfillment, discussions are also emerging worldwide on shaping international goals beyond 2030—drawing insights and lessons from past practices.

The morning plenary session will share updates on subcommittee discussions and the latest domestic and international developments related to Beyond SDGs, along with input talks on approaches to activities and support mechanisms for Beyond SDGs.

In the afternoon subcommittee sessions, each group will be organized around the six entry points outlined in the United Nations' 'Global Sustainable Development Report (GSDR).' Using the four common discussion frameworks—'Current Challenges,' 'Desired Societal Direction,' 'Goal Framework,' and 'Means of Implementation and Governance'—participants will deliberate on visions for society and the structure of international goals beyond 2030.

We are currently recruiting participants for both the plenary and subcommittee sessions. We welcome participation from government agencies, corporations, research institutions, civic organizations, students, and all others interested in shaping societal visions and a sustainable future beyond 2030.
