The Pal System Consumers' Co-operative Union (Headquarters: Okubo, Shinjuku-ku; President: Haruyuki Shibusawa) will begin taking orders for the Pal System private brand (PB*) product 'Papatto Ajitsuke! Maroyaka Dashi Su' (Mellow Dashi Vinegar) starting Monday, April 6. Ingredients were carefully selected in response to user feedback. It is a versatile seasoning that can be easily used in any dish, such as pickles and stir-fries.

'Papatto Ajitsuke! Maroyaka Dashi Su' is a lightly sweetened, versatile dashi vinegar that perfects the flavor of a dish with just one bottle. Using Pal System's PB 'Vinegar' and 'White Dashi (Sozai ga Ikiru Shiro Dashi)', it is finished with a refreshing and moderate sweet-and-sour taste. It is a mellow sweetened seasoned vinegar that even those who dislike strong acidity can enjoy.

We created this product so that the flavor of various dishes can be perfected with just this one bottle—whether it's vinegared dishes, simmered dishes, stir-fries, pickles, or used straight as a salad dressing. 'Seasoned vinegar,' which adds sweetness, saltiness, and the umami of dashi to vinegar, is a popular item in recent years due to its ease of use, as it can be used in many dishes and determines the flavor on its own. In a user survey, half of the respondents answered that they 'use it.'

## Original 'Vinegar' and 'White Dashi' are the Deciding Factors

Responding to voices from users who are 'concerned about ingredients,' we used only 'Vinegar,' 'White Dashi,' sugar, salt, and lemon juice as ingredients. The 'Vinegar' is a blend of mellow vinegar prepared in wooden barrels using sake lees aged for three years, and fruity pure rice vinegar. The 'White Dashi' was blended in a balanced manner to make the acidity and saltiness mellow.

*Pal System's private brand products have cleared original additive standards, product inspections, and factory audits. They are manufactured with consideration for taste, functionality, ingredients, and the environment, based on safety and peace of mind. All ingredients used are listed in the collective labeling.
