3 support groups report standing by students on behalf of parents: "Pal System Benefit Scholarship" supporting students through connections

Two scholarship students graduated from the General Incorporated Association Student Tasuketainjaa (Shizuoka City, Co-representative Hiroshi Tsutomi), which collaborates with Pal System Shizuoka. The organization was established on the campus of the University of Shizuoka in 2021, triggered by food distribution to students who were impoverished during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to support through food distribution, in order to grasp the current situation where many students are struggling with diverse problems, they began individual support through interviews. Scholarship students were recommended from within these support efforts.

Despite having a disability characteristic that makes financial management difficult, with the accompanying support of a graduate involved in residential welfare, they proactively received treatment and were able to lead a student life with connections to diverse people without being isolated.

The organization started from an after-school program established immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake, and in order to address diverse issues in the region such as living destitution and support for people with disabilities, it operates diverse gathering places such as free learning support and children's cafeterias in collaboration with the government.
