Five organizations of the Pal System Group held an initiation ceremony in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo on Wednesday, April 1. For FY2026, 31 individuals will begin working as staff members. Each new employee received their official appointment from their respective organization's representative.

## Cheering them on to have "rich sensibilities and a strong heart"
The initiation ceremony was held jointly by Pal System Tokyo (7 new employees, HQ: Shinjuku-ku, President: Yoko Nishimura), Pal System Kanagawa (7 employees, HQ: Yokohama City, President: Junko Fujita), Pal System Chiba (4 employees, HQ: Funabashi City, President: Yumiko Takahashi), Pal System Saitama (7 employees, HQ: Warabi City, President: Yoshiko Nishiuchi), and the Pal System Consumers' Co-operative Union (6 employees, HQ: Shinjuku-ku, President: Haruyuki Shibusawa). New employees and executives from each organization attended, excluding two who were absent due to personal reasons.

Each new employee was personally handed their letter of appointment by the Managing Director of their respective organization. In his congratulatory address, Haruyuki Shibusawa, President of the Pal System Consumers' Co-operative Union, expressed his expectations: "You have chosen a consumer co-operative that connects people and drives the community as your place of employment. Once your duties begin, there will inevitably be times when you feel overwhelmed. Through your work, please cultivate rich sensibilities and a strong heart to overcome difficulties."

In response, the representative of the new employees stated their aspirations: "Through the prospective employee exchange meetings, I learned about Pal System's role in connecting production areas, local communities, and consumers. As I become a member fulfilling such a significant role, I feel a renewed sense of responsibility. All of the new employees will strive to become staff members who live up to our philosophy."

The employees will then undergo training before beginning work at their respective assigned workplaces.
