Pioneer to Release 4,000-Unit Limited Carrozzeria Cyber Navi LIMITED EDITION

Pioneer will release the Carrozzeria in-car navigation system “Cyber Navi LIMITED EDITION” in a limited run of 4,000 units. Since its debut in 1997 as the industry’s first DVD car navigation system, Cyber Navi has remained Pioneer’s flagship model focused on advanced functionality. This LIMITED EDITION, launched in the 40th anniversary year of the Carrozzeria brand, uses carefully selected high-grade audio components to achieve the best sound quality in Cyber Navi history. The limited model features a special “Lunaris Blue” grille, combining deep blue with a metallic finish. It also comes in limited-edition packaging, includes an aluminum plate engraved with a limited number, and offers a downloadable exclusive startup image. The lineup includes six models across large-size main units, 200 mm wide main units, and 2D main units. Sales are scheduled for June, with open pricing. For audio performance, the system is built around Pioneer’s “Master Sound Architecture.” It uses a chassis structure with separate audio and navigation circuit boards to minimize digital noise, along with MUSES-brand high-quality operational amplifiers from Nisshinbo, a fully custom toroidal coil for the power supply, non-magnetic chip resistors, copper-plated screws, and noise-suppression insulators. These components reduce noise, improve the S/N ratio, and enable clear playback with a wide dynamic range. Navigation features include “Smart Loop Traffic Information,” which analyzes long-accumulated congestion prediction data and real-time driving and traffic information, and “Super Route Search,” which uses dedicated server data to find practical optimized routes. The system also supports free-word voice search, automatic map updates, and high-precision vehicle positioning. For connected entertainment, the unit supports NTT Docomo’s in-car internet service “docomo in Car Connect.” By connecting the included or optional network stick, users can create an in-car Wi-Fi hotspot for up to five devices. The -DC models include one year of free access to the service. The system also supports YouTube playback via a streaming video function, direct video operation through a web browser, and “Recorder Access,” which enables remote streaming of content from a home Blu-ray recorder. The units include the latest spring 2026 map data. With a network stick or Wi-Fi tethering, the automatic map update function can update road and facility information. Free map data updates are available until the end of April 2029, with up to six updates per year. MapFan Smart Members can receive an additional one-year extension through the end of April 2030. Other features include “Live Info” for real-time traffic, regulation, and destination-area information; “Info Gadget” for always-on display and control of useful driving and AV information; an included “Smart Commander” for basic operations such as volume adjustment and navigation/AV switching; support for the MapFan Connect app; and compatibility with the optional ND-MA2 multi-drive assist unit.
