Hands Global Inc. and Daito Kentaku Co., Ltd. Jointly Develop National Qualification Acquisition Program for Global Talent in Construction Management

(Same: Minato-ku, Tokyo) have jointly developed and will begin offering this fiscal year 'Marugoto National Qualification Pass Global,' a training program to support foreign talent in acquiring the 'Construction Management Engineer' national qualification, which is essential in the construction industry.

This program is uniquely designed to efficiently acquire the specialized terminology and practical understanding necessary for qualification, fundamentally solving the challenges in training foreign construction managers.

■ Background of Development
In Japan's construction industry, the shortage of construction managers is becoming severe due to the declining birthrate and aging population. The Construction Management Engineer qualification is essential for supervising construction sites, and the number of qualified individuals directly impacts a company's ability to secure orders and thus its growth. Amidst this, the number of foreign workers in the construction industry is approximately 180,000, and the number of individuals acquiring the 'Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services' (Gijinkoku) residence status for highly skilled foreign professionals in the construction sector has increased eightfold over the past decade, exceeding 16,000. However, in reality, only about 1,900 (0.3%) of these are certified supervising engineers under the Construction Business Act.

The underlying structural challenges include:
・Difficulty in balancing high Japanese language proficiency with specialized knowledge
・Insufficient understanding due to text-centric learning
・Discrepancy between practical work and terminology

To address these challenges, Hands Global Inc. has promoted human resource development through Japanese language education at overseas science universities, and Daito Kentaku Co., Ltd. has actively recruited such talent. Now, to overcome the final hurdle of 'qualification acquisition' after employment, both companies have jointly developed this program.

This program is designed to enable foreign engineers to efficiently aim for national qualification acquisition.
・Careful selection of approximately 1,000 important words from about 6,000 words in the exam scope
・Each word is accompanied by images, explanations, furigana (ruby), and foreign language translations
・Related past exam questions are linked to each word
・Integration of 'vocabulary understanding × practice exercises'
This resolves the conventional learning challenge of 'discrepancy between language and practical work,' creating a learning environment directly leading to success.

Construction Management Engineers are core personnel responsible for quality, safety, and progress at construction sites, and their shortage leads to stagnation in construction projects. By promoting the qualification acquisition of foreign engineers through this initiative, it will contribute to:
