Hyatt Centric Sapporo is set to open in autumn 2026 in the heart of Sapporo, facing the historic Former Hokkaido Government Office (Red Brick Office). Yuki Takimura has been appointed as the General Manager of this hotel, marking Hyatt's first entry into Sapporo.

Hyatt Centric Sapporo is a full-service modern boutique hotel located in the bustling center of the city. It aims to offer stays full of new discoveries, serving as a hub for experiencing the local charm. Situated within the Urban Net Sapporo Link Tower, all 216 guest rooms (including 9 suites) are designed to offer panoramic views of Sapporo city. The hotel will feature a restaurant & bar utilizing local ingredients, a 24-hour fitness facility, and versatile event spaces. Its highly convenient location, approximately a 10-minute walk from Sapporo Station and directly accessible from the underground pedestrian walkway, places it close to historical and natural attractions such as the Former Hokkaido Government Office and Odori Park.

General Manager Yuki Takimura

Takimura began his career at Park Hyatt Tokyo in 2002, primarily gaining experience in the food and beverage department. In 2006, he joined The Peninsula Hotels as an ambassador, accumulating experience in Bangkok, New York, and Chicago, and successively serving as Assistant Director of Food & Beverage in Tokyo, Manila, and Hong Kong. From 2019, he dedicated his efforts to the opening of Park Hyatt Niseko HANAZONO, becoming its Assistant General Manager in 2022. Most recently, from 2023, he served as Director of Operations for the Japan & Micronesia region at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, overseeing the operations and talent development of 23 hotels.
