Coleman Signs Official Supporter Agreement with Japan Life Saving Association

Newell Brands Japan LLC Coleman Division (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Yutaka Nakazato, hereinafter "Coleman") has signed an official supporter agreement with the Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Japan Life Saving Association (hereinafter "JLA", Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Director: Takuya Iritani).

Under this supporter agreement, Coleman will leverage its product reliability, trusted by professionals working in harsh environments, to strengthen heatstroke countermeasures for lifeguards who conduct monitoring and rescue activities in increasingly severe heat conditions in recent years.

Moving forward, Coleman will continue to contribute to society through its products and partnerships, positioning itself as a brand that supports not only everyone who enjoys the outdoors but also professionals undertaking responsible roles in natural environments.

This initiative will introduce proven heat-shielding technology and cooling items to monitoring bases to prevent physical exhaustion and performance decline under harsh summer heat conditions, enabling lifeguards to maintain stable activities even in extreme heat.

This year, a pilot test will be conducted in the Shonan region to verify operational aspects and effectiveness. Based on the verification results, expansion to prefectural associations and affiliated clubs nationwide is being considered.

This item features Coleman's proprietary "Dark Room Technology," which cuts over 99.99% of ultraviolet (UV) rays and blocks over 90% of sunlight. Its extremely high light-blocking capability effectively suppresses temperature rise under the shade.

By avoiding direct sunlight, it reduces the physical burden on lifeguards during monitoring and standby periods.
