Bad breath is nuisance behavior.
Dog Diner Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Maiko Ishida), which sells pet health foods online, released its original awareness music video 'Taberu Hamigaki Kakumei' Vol.4 'Bad Breath is Nuisance Behavior Edition' on May 13, 2026. This is the fourth installment in the series, which, after the empathetic and comedic routes of Vol.1 to Vol.3, for the first time directly addresses the social issue that 'pet bad breath is nuisance behavior.' Through the story of a dog and a cat on a date at an amusement park, it questions the existence of 'gentle indifference' that everyone feels but cannot voice.

MV Story: Amusement Park Date, Ferris Wheel, and the Moment of a Kiss
The setting is an amusement park on a sunny day.
A toy poodle in a stylish striped T-shirt is on a date with a blue cat wearing a ribbon. The two are excited while waiting for the Ferris wheel—but the moment the toy poodle opens its mouth wide, a green bad breath rises, and even the surrounding rabbits and pandas frown simultaneously.
At night, finally inside the Ferris wheel.
Against the backdrop of a starry night view, the toy poodle resolves to approach the cat. However, the moment it tries to kiss, the cat's face turns pale and freezes—unable to get close due to the bad breath.
Then, the cat quietly pulls out 'Taberu Hamigaki Kakumei.'
The next day, on a bench in front of the fountain, the two snuggle up and exchange a kiss.
And, a single phrase is quietly engraved on the screen.
Pet bad breath is nuisance behavior.
Background of Release: Why state it as 'nuisance behavior'?
This is the first time our company has taken such a strong stance in the fourth installment of the series.
Pet bad breath is not only a health problem but also a nuisance behavior.
These are strong words. However, there is a reason for choosing them.
Have you ever seen a situation in a park, cafe, train, or a friend's house where people briefly frown at the smell from a pet held in someone's arms? But no one says anything. 'Your dog has bad breath'—you can't say such a thing to someone's family member.
It's hard to warn about other people's bad breath. It's even harder to warn about a pet's bad breath.
And there's something even more serious.
Pet owners themselves get used to it and don't notice.
While smiling and saying, 'My child can't brush their teeth,' their beloved dog or cat might already be suffering from periodontal disease. The choice not to brush teeth is not something that can be wrapped in cuteness; it's a choice that harms both consideration for others and the pet's own health.
We are not trying to condemn this problem. We just want people to 'notice.'
The strong phrase 'nuisance behavior' was used because it is a fact. We want as many pet owners as possible to realize that 'gentle indifference' while turning a blind eye to the facts ultimately causes suffering to pets. That is the purpose of this MV.
Risks Associated with Pet Periodontal Disease
Approximately 80% of dogs over 3 years old have periodontal disease (American Veterinary Dental College).
Dogs with severe periodontal disease have a 1.4 to 1.6 times higher risk of death (Large-scale study by Banfield Pet Hospital, USA).
Periodontal bacteria are pointed out to affect the heart, brain, and kidneys via the bloodstream.
Bad breath is just the beginning. If left untreated, pets will pay a heavy price.
