Diony Co., Ltd. (Head Office: 408-1 Narayamachi, Fushimi-ku, Kyoto City, Japan, hereinafter "the Company") is pleased to announce that it has obtained the internationally recognized B Corp™ certification.

The Company has primarily engaged in the import and wholesale distribution of natural wines. In recent years, facing leadership succession and the uncertainties brought by the pandemic, the Company has deeply reflected on its purpose and future direction, recognizing the urgent need to shift toward a business model that harmonizes profitability with social responsibility.

It was in this context that the Company encountered B Corp™ certification. For a company seeking a guiding compass for management decisions, this certification is not merely an evaluation system, but a transformative opportunity to define its very identity as a business.

The Company values the principle of "mutual connection between nature and the human spirit." While delivering wine, sake, and food products, it also strives to embody the stories of producers and their relationship with the environment.

Looking back, the certification journey was far from smooth. The Company once faced a temporary closure of its assessment in November 2025. It realized that its initial efforts were overly focused on high-impact initiatives. Subsequently, it refocused on daily operations and organizational management, carefully reviewing and improving its relationships with employees, business partners, and the local community.

This certification has gained increasing global attention in recent years. The Company expects it to open doors to new connections and business opportunities, serving as a catalyst to enter previously unimagined markets.

The Company views this certification not as a final destination, but as a starting point for continuous evolution. Just as fine wine reveals its true value over time, the Company believes its business will deepen in authenticity and richness through sustained commitment.

To translate this philosophy into action, the Company will accelerate its efforts along the following three pillars:

Future Initiatives

The Company will treat this certification as a starting line to further accelerate its mission of "using business as a force for good."

1. Deepening Trust As a member of the B Corp™ community, the Company will enhance transparency and integrity across its business processes, strengthening relationships with existing partners and customers.

2. Co-Creating Value The Company will strengthen collaborations with environmentally and socially conscious enterprises—from producers to distributors—as well as with other B Corp™ certified companies in Japan and abroad. It aims to leverage shared values and networks to develop innovative products and services.

3. Market Expansion Centered on the intrinsic values of natural wine—respect for nature and sustainability—the Company will target new consumer segments who prioritize ethical consumption and sustainability, aiming to create new market spaces.

About B Corp™

B Corp certification is an international standard operated by the U.S.-based nonprofit B Lab™. It is awarded to businesses that meet rigorous standards set by B Lab in social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability (via the B Impact Assessment). Unlike product-specific certifications, B Corp evaluates the entire company. As of January 2025, over 10,000 companies across 102 countries and more than 160 industries have achieved B Corp certification. Certified companies are known as Certified B Corporations (or B Corps) and are authorized to use the B Corp certification mark to publicly affirm their membership in the global B Corp community.
