Meiji Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Bunjiro Yao) today unveiled six projects commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Chocolate Kentei, which has been held since 2016. The Chocolate Kentei is a certification exam that tests specialized knowledge about chocolate, taken by over 21,000 chocolate lovers since its inception in 2016.

This year, celebrating its 10th anniversary, we are offering a variety of exciting projects that can be enjoyed by both those who have taken the Chocolate Kentei previously and those who are looking to learn about the charm of chocolate and aim to pass the Chocolate Kentei. These include limited edition certification certificates available only this year, invitations to Meiji confectionery factory tours at three locations nationwide, and an online Meiji Milk Chocolate Birthday Party.

Meiji Milk Chocolate (commonly known as Milch) will celebrate its 100th birthday on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
Let's celebrate its birthday together!
Meiji employees will share behind-the-scenes stories about Milch, such as the history of Meiji Milk Chocolate and their dedication to ingredients, which are usually rarely heard! There will also be an announcement of the results of a Milch love survey conducted in advance, and finally, a group photo session with everyone and Milch. Please buy Milch and participate while eating it!
