[April 30, 2026, Chuo-ku, Osaka] DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle (General Manager Hiroyuki Maekawa) will offer the [Peach Afternoon Tea], themed on the Azuchi-Momoyama period, from June 1st (Monday) to August 31st (Monday), 2026, at the 6th floor "Lounge & Bar SEN (Fune)".

This afternoon tea, featuring peaches with their delightful aroma and texture, was meticulously crafted, drawing inspiration from the history of the Sengoku period in the late 1500s to 1600s.
It is also recommended to contemplate the history associated with this region and the military commanders of that era through the slightly unique names of the sweets.

The main feature on the top tier, the "Osaka Castle Mousse Cake for Unification of Japan," is a delicate confection that expresses roof tiles with refined candy work, encapsulating the elegant fragrance of peach. During the Azuchi-Momoyama period, the first "Osaka Castle" built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi was said to have a luxurious and splendid appearance, also known as the "Jet Black Castle" adorned with black lacquer and gold leaf. This dessert imagines the majestic Osaka Castle of that time. Furthermore, Konpeito, believed to have been loved by Oda Nobunaga, who lived in the same era, adds color to tea time as a confectionery symbolizing Namban (Southern Barbarian) culture.

On the middle tier, we offer "Peach and Honey Castella ~Encounter with Namban Confectionery~". This is an adaptation of Castella, a representative Namban confectionery introduced from Portugal and Spain, with layers of fruity peach aroma and gentle honey sweetness, creating a somewhat nostalgic taste. Also, the "Peach Melba with Lime Scent ~Riding on a Splendid Ship~," which combines sweet ripe peaches with rich vanilla and a hint of lime, expresses a magnificent banquet on a ship, highlighting the chef's playful presentation.

On the bottom tier, we serve "Peach Mille-feuille ~Reward Sweet of the Three Great Warlords~," with crispy puff pastry layered with peach mousse. It offers a satisfying flavor alongside "Peach Almond Tofu."

Savory dishes also incorporate elements of the Azuchi-Momoyama period. Enjoy "Shrimp and Peach Nanban-style Marinade," prepared with new ginger and peach in a Nanban-style marinade; "Yuba Roll with Peach and Cream Cheese," inspired by fritters introduced from Portugal at the time and prepared as tempura; and "Pork Tacos with Peach Ravigote Sauce," made with pork loin steamed for a long time to achieve tenderness.

As an optional menu item, we also offer the visually stunning "Azuchi-Momoyama Peach Parfait." You can enjoy different peach flavors in each layer, including ice cream, compote, and jelly.

Please enjoy a graceful afternoon, reflecting on history while overlooking the beautiful fresh greenery of Osaka Castle Park in early summer.
