*This press release is based on an original draft written by high school students, with additions and revisions.*
The "Market School" is a collaborative project between high school students and the intermediate wholesale stores of the Yokohama City Central Wholesale Market, aimed at conveying the market's true function and appeal. While learning about the market, the students take on challenges in PR activities, product development, and event planning, with the goal of reaching a wide audience. Through these activities, they aim to raise awareness of fresh fish and the unique vibrancy of the market, while also creating opportunities for people and restaurant staff who do not normally visit the market to come and trade. By leveraging the flexible ideas and proactive energy of the younger generation, they are pioneering new possibilities to connect the community with the market and broadcast its charms. This release features reports from the participating members.

For this final presentation meeting, I worked on creating the slides and the presentation script. At the previous mid-term presentation, I had packed too much information onto the slides, which made them hard to read. This time, to improve on that, I focused on extracting the most important points and making them large and easy to see. As a result, during the presentation, I was able to speak while looking at the audience instead of staring at the slides, so I think the presentation itself went better than last time.

I was grateful because I felt these were perspectives we couldn't have come up with on our own. I was also truly happy that the intermediate wholesalers, city council members, and other market-related people told us that our activities were meaningful.
Personally, I was in charge of PR, but this year I went beyond that framework and also participated in service and product development activities. I was able to share the knowledge I gained, as well as things that might at first seem unrelated to the "Market School," with many people at this final presentation.
Following the mid-term presentation, I am filled with gratitude for being given such a valuable opportunity and for having so many people attend. Really...
