What is the "Market School"?
*This press release is based on the original text written by high school students, with additions and corrections.
The "Market School" is a project where high school students and intermediate wholesalers at the Yokohama City Central Wholesale Market collaborate to convey the original role and charm of the market. While learning about the market, the high school students take on challenges in "PR activities," "product development," and "event planning," aiming to communicate this to a wide audience. Through their activities, they work to raise awareness of fresh fish and the unique vibrancy of the market, while also creating opportunities for people who do not normally visit the market, such as restaurant industry professionals, to come and trade. By leveraging the flexible ideas and energy of the younger generation, they are pioneering new possibilities to connect the community and the market and to promote the market's appeal. In this release, we bring you reports from the participating members.

As a result, when presenting, I was able to look at the audience instead of just staring at the slides, so I think the presentation itself went better than last time.

Although I was in charge of PR, this fiscal year I went beyond that framework and also participated in service and product development activities. I was able to share the knowledge I gained there, as well as things that at first glance might seem unrelated to the "Market School," with many people at this final presentation meeting.
Following the interim presentation, I am filled with gratitude for being provided with such a valuable opportunity and for having so many people attend. Truly...
