What is the activity of "Market School"?

*This press release is based on the original text written by high school students, with additions and revisions.

"Market School" is a project where high school students and intermediate wholesale stores at the Yokohama Central Wholesale Market collaborate to convey the original role and charm of markets. High school students learn about the market and challenge themselves with "PR activities," "product development," "event planning," and more, aiming to communicate with many people. Through these activities, they aim to widely publicize fresh fish and the unique vibrancy of the market, and also to create opportunities for people who do not usually visit the market and those in the restaurant industry to visit and do business. By leveraging the flexible ideas and actions of the younger generation, they are pioneering new possibilities to connect the community and the market, and disseminating the charm of the market. This release provides reports from the participating members.

Although I was in charge of PR, this year I went beyond that framework and also participated in service and product development activities. I was able to share the knowledge I gained from that, and even things that seemed unrelated to "Market School," with many people at this end-of-term presentation.

I am full of gratitude for being provided with such a valuable opportunity, following the interim presentation, and for so many people attending. Truly...
