Launch of Wearable Thermo-Device Kit 'REON POCKET PRO Plus', Featuring Up to 20%*2 Improved Cooling Performance and the Strongest Cooling*3 in Series History

Sony Thermo Technology Inc. will launch the wearable thermo-device kit 'REON POCKET PRO Plus' on Tuesday, April 21. This product is the flagship model of the 'REON POCKET' series, which can be worn around the neck to directly cool or warm the body surface in contact with the device.

Compared to the previous model*1, cooling performance has improved by up to 20%*2, and the temperature of the cooling/warming section has been reduced by a maximum of 2°C*4, achieving the strongest cooling*3 in the history of the series. Furthermore, the holding power of the band has improved by approximately 40% compared to the previous model*5, and the included airflow parts that release heat from inside the main unit have been improved to be 'adjustable', allowing for length and angle changes, thus achieving both holding power and flexibility.

In addition, the wearable sensing device 'REON POCKET TAG 2' will be released simultaneously. It has been made approximately 18% smaller*6 than the previous model with an improved design, making it easier to carry.

After crowdfunding in 2019, REON POCKET began general sales in 2020. Since then, improvements have been made every year, and in 2025, the 'REON POCKET PRO', the first high-end model in the series, was released and is sold in 20 countries and regions. With the release of this product, the company aims to meet the diverse needs of lifestyles and climates that vary by user and region. To pursue comfort during cooling, a new algorithm targeting a cooling/warming section temperature of 20°C has been adopted. This enables up to a 20% improvement in cooling performance*2 and up to a 2°C reduction in the cooling/warming section temperature*4 compared to the previous model*1. By suppressing excessive cooling through temperature control utilizing sensing technology, it aims to realize comfortable cooling even under various environments.

A Neckband that Fits Your Movements: Holding Power Improved by Approx. 40% Compared to Previous Model*5

The neckband features a newly adopted 'Adaptive Hold Design' that achieves both flexible adjustment and holding power. By enlarging the diameter of the mechanical flexible tube, the band has achieved an approximately 40% improvement in holding power*5 compared to the previous model. This makes it possible to maintain the arch of the band tailored to the neck, achieving both hold and flexibility.

Airflow Parts with Adjustable Length and Angle to Suit Your Preferences

The included airflow parts, which release heat from inside the main unit, have evolved to become 'adjustable', allowing for length and angle changes. The airflow parts can be adjusted to match the different neck shapes and preferences of users, as well as the collar height of the clothing worn, enabling cooling through inconspicuous and efficient exhaust.
