This timepiece elegantly and innovatively showcases the intricate mechanics of mechanical watchmaking, merging exceptional craftsmanship with refined design to create a truly captivating watch.

Shifting Dial Colors in Response to Light

The dial features a shimmering photochromic (light-reactive) effect. When exposed to ultraviolet light, its soft rose hue transforms into a vibrant magenta. The delicate rose tone harmonizes beautifully with the high-tech ceramic case and bracelet—iconic materials of Rado—creating a sophisticated presence.

The distinctive open-heart cutout dial is designed with the motif of the number '8,' symbolizing good fortune. Reflecting this symbolism, the model is limited to just 888 pieces worldwide.

Moreover, when viewed from different angles, the movement beating beneath a symbolic infinity motif becomes visible through the镂空 dial. This unique expression of the passage of time and eternal present vividly captures the distinctive charm of mechanical watches.

The sunray-finished dial in soft rose features a sparkling photochromic effect that shifts from rose to magenta depending on light conditions. The polished bracelet and monobloc case are crafted from soft rose high-tech ceramic. The titanium case back is engraved with 'LIMITED EDITION, ONE OUT OF 888,' signifying its status as a special edition limited to 888 pieces worldwide.

The watch is powered by Rado’s automatic caliber R734. Equipped with the anti-magnetic Nivachron™ hairspring, it offers a maximum power reserve of 80 hours and water resistance up to 5 bar (50 m).

This limited edition, combining the precision of mechanical watchmaking with the artistry of horology, comes presented in a special edition box and includes a certificate of authenticity.

High-tech ceramic was first introduced by Rado in 1986 after extensive research and development. Its production requires extremely advanced technology and strict process control. First, high-purity zirconium oxide powder with uniform particle size is mixed with a proprietary plastic-based carrier material and injection-molded into precision molds under approximately 1,000 bar of pressure. After heating and cooling cycles, the carrier material is chemically dissolved and removed. The ceramic blank is then reheated to 1,450°C.

This precisely controlled sintering process tightly bonds the powder particles, resulting in a material with far greater density and hardness than conventional ceramics. The final product boasts a Vickers hardness of 1,250—exceptional for a watch material. After precision machining with diamond tools and meticulous finishing, the components are assembled into Rado timepieces.
