GEIET Donates 100 Original Aprons to "SOMPO-style Kids' Cafeteria"

GEIET Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "SOMPO Care"), which operates nursing care businesses nationwide at its assisted living homes and other facilities. In support of this, GEIET donated 100 original aprons for children to wear. Furthermore, a donation ceremony was held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at "SOMPO Care Lavieille Totsuka" in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. The "SOMPO-style Kids' Cafeteria" is an initiative that creates opportunities for multi-generational interaction, with children assisting with serving and clearing meals, dining with residents, engaging in conversation, and participating in recreational activities. GEIET empathized with SOMPO Care's efforts and, leveraging its expertise cultivated in the apparel business, produced original aprons for children to wear during their activities, leading to this donation. ■ Background of Original Apron Provision Currently, GEIET operates a visiting sales service called "Kurufuku" targeting various facilities. As part of this, they are conducting a test introduction of "Kurufuku" at SOMPO Care's assisted living homes nationwide and are moving forward with efforts for full-scale launch. Through this collaboration, GEIET decided to produce and donate aprons for children participating in the "SOMPO-style Kids' Cafeteria." Utilizing the expertise gained from the apparel business "Mac House," the original aprons are designed with ease of movement in mind, allowing children to comfortably assist with serving and clearing meals. ■ Apron Introduction The color is based on SOMPO Care's corporate color, red, and features a friendly design with a patch on the chest. A functional design that doesn't hinder children's movement is also a key feature. This unique original design fosters a sense of unity among children as they participate in activities. ■ About "SOMPO-style Kids' Cafeteria" The "SOMPO-style Kids' Cafeteria" is an initiative that SOMPO Care has been conducting monthly since November 2022 at its assisted living homes nationwide. In addition to providing warm meals to local children, it facilitates intergenerational exchange through experiences in care work, such as assisting residents with meal service and wheelchair movement, and participating in games and crafts with residents. As of the end of March 2026, over 69,000 meals have been provided to local children.
