[Armani/Casa] ARMANI/CASA Exhibition to be Held from Saturday, April 25 to Wednesday, May 6

Armani/Casa will present an installation embodying the brand's worldview, 'ARMANI/CASA Exhibition - Quiet Elegance Woven by Light and Space,' at MMoP (Miyota Museum of Photography) in Miyota-machi, Nagano Prefecture, from Saturday, April 25 to Wednesday, May 6.

Memory of Space - Logo Lamp, the Origin of the Brand

It draws out the beauty of structure without relying on ornamentation, finding richness in negative space rather than assertion.

The core of this installation is the 'Logo Lamp,' a table lamp designed by Giorgio Armani himself in 1982, displayed on the first floor.

Born to softly illuminate his hands as he worked on design sketches, this lamp features a unique form that precisely casts light without obstructing the view. It condenses Armani's philosophy of balancing functionality and beauty, and continues to be loved as the purest icon reflecting the aesthetic of Armani/Casa.

The furniture installations arranged in four areas breathe life into Armani/Casa's proposed 'aesthetics of hospitality.' Carefully crafted small items, finished one by one by artisans, are subtly added, bringing a soft expression to the space.

On the second floor, an archive selection tracing Giorgio Armani's residences in Milan, Pantelleria, Forte dei Marmi, Paris, Saint-Tropez, and St. Moritz will be introduced through photographs and videos.
This is the world's first attempt to gather such a collection of residential archives in one installation.

You can experience the world of Armani in a space where the Logo Lamp, placed at the center of the exhibition, resonates with the natural light of MMoP.

MMoP - Miyota Museum of Photography
MMoP, the venue, is a complex facility centered around a photography museum located in Miyota-machi, adjacent to Karuizawa.

Enjoy a moment immersed in the brand's worldview in this tranquil space, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, which resonates with Armani/Casa's philosophy of valuing light and structure.

Access:

From Tokyo Station, take the JR Hokuriku Shinkansen to 'Karuizawa Station' (approx. 60 minutes).
Transfer to the Shinano Railway and get off at 'Miyota Station' (approx. 20 minutes).
Approximately 10 minutes walk from Miyota Station to MMoP.
