To coincide with Milan Design Week, the second chapter of “ARMANI/Archivio” begins today at the Giorgio Armani boutique on Via Sant'Andrea.
“ARMANI/Archivio” is a project launched in 2025 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of Giorgio Armani. It serves as an interactive platform that systematically archives and manages Giorgio Armani's collections, inheriting the brand's heritage while bridging the past and future. It is a space where visitors can experience 50 years of creativity, consistency, and evolution.
Thirteen looks for men and women, originally presented between 1979 and 1994, have been faithfully reproduced and will be available for sale for the first time. These items possess timeless value and embody the consistent stylistic evolution of the brand. The jackets, forming the core of the selection, serve as symbolic figures connecting the past and future through Giorgio Armani's unique design forms. Under the philosophy of “Past Perfect. Future Ready.”, this collection provides an opportunity for new generations to redefine and recognize the essence of the brand.
During Milan Design Week, the Giorgio Armani boutique on Via Sant'Andrea will feature a special space designed by Milan-based studio NM3. There, visitors can enjoy immersive content that allows them to experience the fusion of fashion and culture through talk sessions featuring experts in fashion and museum collection management.
Program:
April 22, 19:00: Eli Russell Linnetz (Creative Director/Photographer) and Throwing Fits (Podcast)
April 23, 19:30: Elise by Olsen (Fashion Researcher) and Gillian Choi (Curator)
April 24, 19:30: Miyako Bellizzi (Costume Designer) and Throwing Fits (Podcast)
April 25, 19:30: Luca Benini (Slam Jam Founder) and Gianluca Cantaro (Fashion Journalist/Creator/Consultant)
The advertising campaign for Chapter 2 was photographed by Creative Director Eli Russell Linnetz. Through clothing that naturally follows the lines of the body, the brand's values are expressed from a contemporary perspective. The imagery, reminiscent of the brand's early campaigns, skillfully captures that vintage feel, while the atmosphere is free and authentic, expressing a timeless style in both dress and attitude.
These products will be available at select Giorgio Armani boutiques, Apropos Berlino, Just One Eye Los Angeles, and MyTheresa.com. In Japan, sales will begin on May 8th at the Ginza and Omotesando stores.
Details of each look can be viewed at archivio.armani.com.
