Suntory Shiojiri Winery will be renamed Suntory Shinshu Shiojiri Winery effective September 1 (Tuesday).

Since its establishment in 1936, the winery has spent 90 years shaping Japan's wine history by collaborating closely with local grape farmers and aligning with Japanese tastes. This name change reflects the winery’s commitment to producing high-quality wines that express the diverse terroirs across Nagano Prefecture, contributing to the growth of Shinshu as a premium wine region.

Alongside the name change, the winery will refresh its packaging to highlight the unique terroir of various regions within Nagano. It aims to promote the appeal of these wine-producing areas more widely and further energize the Japanese wine market.
