Cognizant Acquires Astreya to Deepen AI-First Managed Services Capabilities at Scale

The acquisition adds production-ready AI operational capabilities to Cognizant's AI Builder technology stack.

Astreya, an AI infrastructure and data center services specialist with deep expertise in data center and managed workplace services, will join Cognizant amidst the construction of the largest data center infrastructure in history.

Cognizant (Headquarters: New Jersey, USA; CEO: Ravi Kumar S) announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Astreya, a platform-driven global AI-first IT managed services solution provider headquartered in San Jose, California, for an undisclosed amount. This transaction is expected to further advance Cognizant's transformation as an AI Builder and significantly expand Cognizant's AI infrastructure foundation capabilities by leveraging Astreya's extensive managed services capabilities for enterprise clients at scale.

Established in 2001 and operating in over 35 countries, Astreya has a 25-year track record as a trusted partner to the world's largest technology companies, particularly with six of the "Magnificent Seven" hyperscalers, through outcome-based, long-term managed services contracts. Cognizant's proprietary AI OpsHub platform, equipped with modules for responsiveness assessment, signal intelligence, analytics, and agent automation, along with a Tech Innovation Office, is expected to deepen Cognizant's AI talent pool, strengthen production-grade AI delivery capabilities, and translate a wide range of AI possibilities into specific business outcomes and enterprise-ready platforms tailored to individual client situations. Combined with Cognizant's hybrid-by-design AI infrastructure strategy, Astreya's differentiated expertise in designing, building, and managing AI infrastructure across the entire value chain is expected to support and accelerate clients' transformation journeys. Astreya's custom client AI solutions and ecosystem partnerships centered around Google Cloud Platform and ServiceNow will be critical assets in Cognizant's global delivery infrastructure.
