From Waste Cooking Oil to Future Fuel – Keinan Clean Wins '300 Soaring Companies (Overseas Expansion Division)' Award for Building a Resource Circulation Model in the Maldives

This award recognizes the company's development and dissemination of the high-purity biodiesel fuel 'ReESEL', as well as its overseas expansion efforts, including the waste cooking oil resource circulation project in the Republic of Maldives.

Development and Dissemination of High-Purity Biodiesel Fuel 'ReESEL'

The company aims to build a resource circulation model that regenerates waste cooking oil generated in the Maldives (left) into high-purity biodiesel fuel 'ReESEL' (right).

Keinan Clean develops and manufactures 'ReESEL', a high-purity biodiesel fuel made from waste cooking oil.

ReESEL converts locally generated waste cooking oil into renewable energy, contributing to the realization of a decarbonized society. The company is expanding its use by local governments and private companies.

Under the philosophy of 'Turning Waste into Resources', the company is working to build a local resource circulation model.

Challenge of Building a Resource Circulation Model in the Maldives

Currently, the company is working on a waste cooking oil resource circulation project in the Republic of Maldives through a JICA project.

In the Maldives, where the tourism industry is thriving, a large amount of waste cooking oil is generated. The company aims to build a circular model that connects the collection of waste cooking oil to the use of biofuel, in collaboration with local related organizations.
