[First in Japan] Malaysian Government Agency EMGS and Malaysian Study Abroad Specialist Company Conclude Partnership Agreement

Global Hub Japan Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Takashi Saito), which operates the "Malaysia Study Abroad Support Center" assisting students in advancing to universities and language schools in Malaysia, jointly with Education Malaysia Global Services (hereinafter, EMGS), a direct agency of the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education, held the "Malaysia Study Abroad Promotion Project Launch Ceremony" on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at ANA InterContinental Tokyo (Minato-ku, Tokyo). This ceremony aimed to expand awareness of Malaysian higher education in Japan and create new overseas study opportunities, against the backdrop of increasing demand for studying in Malaysia.

EMGS, as a direct agency of the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education, is responsible for supporting foreign students who wish to study in Malaysia.

As the sole agency that centrally manages study visa applications in cooperation with the Malaysian Immigration Department, it supports the acceptance of international students from over 170 countries and regions worldwide. Currently, Malaysia hosts over 160,000 international students and is attracting attention as a leading educational hub in Asia.

On the day of the event, approximately 130 participants attended, including officials from the Malaysian Embassy in Japan, All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. (ANA), study abroad support providers, media representatives, and high school officials from across Japan. In addition to the conclusion of Japan's first partnership agreement (MOU) between EMGS and Global Hub Japan Inc. as a domestic private company, an announcement of collaboration between EMGS and All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. (ANA), and the official announcement of a new university admission system for Japanese high school students, "MUP (Malaysia University Pathway)," were made.
