Providing Dozens of MW-Scale Renewable Energy Investment Opportunities in Hokkaido and Tohoku

Green Energy Consulting Co., Ltd. (hereinafter 'GEC') has commenced providing origination and matching support for investment opportunities in renewable energy projects in the Hokkaido and Tohoku areas.

In this initiative, targeting a group of projects owned and developed by multiple operators, we provide projects in a form that investors can consider, as well as matching and transaction support, by organizing the projects and visualizing the main issues.

Currently, we are handling investment opportunities that include portfolios of several tens of megawatts in total across multiple projects, mainly focusing on high-voltage solar power generation projects located in the Hokkaido and Tohoku areas.

In recent years, the difficulty of developing renewable energy in these areas has increased due to the impact of grid constraints and natural conditions. On the other hand, investment opportunities for appropriately organized and structured projects are limited, and access to selected projects is becoming increasingly important for investors.

Under these circumstances, GEC supports the visualization of information necessary for investment decisions and the efficient consideration of projects by organizing issues from the initial stage of the project.

The forms of participation assumed in this initiative are as follows:

- Co-development from the early stages of development
- Acquisition on a project-by-project basis
- Participation on a portfolio basis
- Consideration of land acquisition and alternative uses for projects where solar development is difficult

Furthermore, there is a possibility that this framework will be expanded in the future, including regional and technological areas (such as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)).

GEC provides advisory services such as support for entering the Japanese market, project origination support, and transaction support to domestic and overseas investors and operators in the renewable energy sector. In this matter, we act in an advisory and introductory capacity and are not the rights holder or seller of individual projects.
