Cougar Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo; Representative Director: Atsushi Ishii) will hold the 7th real event of "Sphear," a community aiming to contribute to human space migration with the power of AI, titled "Conditions for Moon/Mars Migration──How to Prepare for Environmental Risks like Solar Flares and Radiation 【Sphear #8】" from 19:00 on Friday, June 5, 2026, in Shibuya, Tokyo.

This event will specifically explore how humanity can prepare for environmental risks in space, focusing on lunar and Martian development led by NASA.

Humanity is finally entering the phase of "living" in space. This step is built upon strict conditions.

Cougar CEO Atsushi Ishii will present an overview of the environmental risks and technical requirements for realizing space migration. Furthermore, Associate Professor Daisaku Nogami of Kyoto University will unravel the structure and impact of the space environment, including solar flares, clarifying the essential constraints for habitation and operation.

What are the prerequisites for an era of living in space?

■ Why "Space x AI" Now?

Construction of lunar bases, commercialization of space travel, long-term exploration missions to Mars. What was once science fiction is now becoming a reality. In this "next frontier for humanity," AI is the field where it can demonstrate its true value most effectively.

Extreme environments, remote control from Earth, limited resources, unexpected troubles. To overcome these, it is essential to not only supplement and expand human judgment but also to comprehensively utilize AI, robotics, and human-computer interaction, including autonomous control of rockets and robots, navigation of probes, environmental recognition, and optimization of communication.

■ What is Sphear?──A Place to Accelerate Moon/Mars Migration

Sphear is a community that aims to accelerate Moon/Mars migration together, centered on "Space x AI."
