Kronos and Cloud Time Clock Management System "KARA-RECO" to Offer Data Integration via Web API from July 1, 2026

Kronos Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Mitsuru Omaki, hereinafter "Kronos") will begin offering Web API integration with "KARA-RECO," a cloud-based time clock management system developed and operated by Shift Inc. (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Hirofumi Tsuji, hereinafter "Shift"), and its distributor Info-Farm Inc. (Location: Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture, President and CEO: Hirofumi Tsuji, hereinafter "Info-Farm"), starting July 1, 2026. This integration will be available through Kronos's optional service "Time Clock Data Integration Service" (Note 1) for "Xronos Link" (hereinafter "Kronos Link") and "X'sion" (hereinafter "X'sion").

1. Overview

With this integration, in addition to the conventional CSV file data exchange, API integration is now newly supported. This enables real-time data reflection, eliminating the manual effort and time required for data import and updates that were previously necessary, thereby reducing the workload in back-office operations.

2. What is the Cloud Time Clock Management System "KARA-RECO"?

"KARA-RECO" is a cloud-based time clock management system developed by Shift Inc. that utilizes the 2D color barcode "Chameleon Code."

It performs identity verification using the camera function of common iPad (Note 2) or Windows devices, eliminating the need for dedicated equipment and allowing for low-cost and smooth implementation.

It prevents "impersonation clock-ins," a challenge in various workplaces such as factories and manufacturing, retail and food service with multiple locations, medical and nursing care facilities, construction, and transportation/logistics industries, thereby realizing accurate attendance management. Furthermore, it supports more stringent identity verification by being compatible with facial recognition and Fujitsu's palm vein authentication system "PalmSecure" (Fujitsu Limited and Fujitsu Frontech Limited) (Note 3).

In addition to time clock functions, it includes a meal and bento order function utilizing tablet devices. This simultaneously improves employee convenience and streamlines management tasks. Additionally, through Bluetooth integration with alcohol testers, alcohol check results can be linked with time clock information for centralized management. It is also ideal for sites requiring safety management, such as in the transportation/logistics and construction industries.

Moreover, it supports API integration with existing attendance management systems. By leveraging the systems currently in use, it streamlines on-site clock-ins, identity verification, and various management tasks, supporting DX promotion.

This automates daily aggregation tasks and significantly reduces the time spent on attendance management. 6. What is "X'sion (Optional Service: Time Clock Data Integration Service)"?

"X'sion" is a cloud service that allows users to make various applications and approvals, such as for paid leave, overtime, and requests, using devices like PCs and smartphones from outside the office or at home. It includes functions such as web clock-in, presence status, time cards, schedules, groupware, and daily report management. Application details are automatically reflected on the time card and schedule screens, enabling smooth integration with attendance data and centralized information management.

"Time Clock Data Integration Service" is an optional service that reflects time clock data recorded by third-party products into X'sion via the Web API Kronos Link. Usage has surpassed 1.1 million IDs (as of the end of March 2026), and it is used by companies across various industries aiming to improve the efficiency of their back-office operations.
