1 in 6 Rental Camper Van Users 'Sleep in Car with Their Dog,' JAPAN C.R.C. Promotes Pet-Friendly Travel

Campingcar Co., Ltd., which operates one of Japan's largest camper van rental services, 'JAPAN C.R.C.,' announced on April 8, 2026, the results of its 'FY2025 Pet Usage Trend Survey,' targeting domestic users from April 2025 to March 2026. The survey revealed that one in six groups enjoys traveling with pets. Amidst this, the 'Happy One Premium,' which ranked 7th in the March 2026 browsing rankings of Japan's largest camper van comparison site, 'Camper Van Comparison Navi,' is gaining support from many dog lovers as the ideal vehicle for pet travel.

■ New Norms in 'Pet-Friendly Travel' Seen from Data

Our survey of domestic users from April 2025 to March 2026 showed that one in six groups was accompanied by a pet. Without worrying about the restrictions of public transportation or accommodation facilities, the 'camper van,' which allows spending 24 hours with a beloved dog, has established itself as the optimal solution for pet owners.
