Caterpillar (Japan) – Caterpillar Inc. announces the enhancement of its Cat® Customer Value Agreement (CVA), introducing a new 'Service Commitment' that will apply to all new CVA customers in Japan starting July 1, 2026. Designed to support smooth business operations and machine uptime, this CVA guarantees completion of general repairs within two business days (*) when maintenance is included through a Cat dealer mechanic, prioritizing rapid return-to-worksite performance. If this commitment is not fulfilled, compensation will be provided in the form of Cat Credits. Under the Service Commitment, genuine Cat parts (maintenance, wear, and general repair parts) will be made available by the next business day after initial contact (*), ready for pickup at the customer’s preferred dealer location.

The new Service Commitment simplifies equipment ownership, enabling rapid machine recovery even in unexpected situations through next-day parts availability. Customizable warranty and coverage options are available to meet individual customer needs.
CVA provides 24/7/365 access to machine health data through tools such as VisionLink™ and Cat Inspect. As part of the agreement, customers receive expert support from their nearest Cat dealer. Genuine Cat parts are delivered precisely when needed, aligned with scheduled maintenance.
The global rollout of CVA with Service Commitment begins in Q1 2026 and continues through 2027. Availability varies by region; customers should contact their local Cat dealer for details on the Service Commitment terms and conditions.

The parts commitment is fulfilled upon either customer pickup completion at the Cat dealer or shipment readiness at the dealer location.
For either commitment, if a completion date is mutually agreed upon between the customer and the Cat dealer, that date takes precedence.
