Karimoku Furniture Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Higashiura-cho, Chita-gun, Aichi Prefecture; President: Hiroshi Kato) will exhibit at 'Orgatec Tokyo 2026,' one of Japan's largest office furniture trade fairs, held at Tokyo Big Sight from June 2 (Tue) to June 4 (Thu), 2026. Under the concept 'More is (so much) More,' the company will propose the richness created by adding wood to spaces and its ideal workplace vision. In this exhibition, multiple new products will be premiered, including 'G-WOC,' the first working chair from , 'Piraeus Chair' and 'Piraeus Table' by new designer Léonard Kadid, and the 'ASICS EDITION' sofa series in collaboration with . Additionally, a prototype of the ongoing new project 'Karimoku Yours / Ours (tentative name)' with Hiroshi Komiyama and Shunichi Suge will be unveiled. The overall direction and planning of the exhibition are led by product designer Hiroshi Komiyama, as in the previous year. The venue is designed by architect and museum designer Takashi Nakahara, based on the prototype of Karimoku's 'K-studio' office in Aichi Prefecture. The layout assumes multiple scenes such as offices, meetings, and lounges, configured as a model case for workplaces that can be adapted to various locations. Exhibition Concept - More is (so much) More The venue design is modeled after 'K-studio,' an office adjacent to our factory in Aichi Prefecture. We will reconstruct the spatial philosophy, flow, and furniture selection criteria from that studio at the Orgatec venue, presenting it as a model case adaptable to various workplaces like homes and offices. Along with diverse products such as , , , and , we will demonstrate the richness of wood-integrated spaces—the density of materials, harmony with the environment, and the sense of connected human movement. For the booth's exterior walls and internal partitions, we utilize , a modular furniture piece co-created with Postalco Design Studio. The impressive visual of over 400 units lined up shows that a space can be established using only free-standing furniture without large-scale construction. On the back of each , abstract graphics inspired by the exhibition products and themes by graphic designer Mina Tabei are UV printed. This puzzle-like expression, where a single image is completed by assembling the units, is a highlight of . Function x Wood x Design: Workspaces Required for the Future For use in multi-person environments like offices, the new product 'G-WOC' will be previewed. Born from a collaboration between the Swiss design studio BIG-GAME and the long-established Swiss office furniture brand , this product features a design reconstructed for modern work environments and a structure where the seat, frame, and backrest are all made of wood. On the opposite side of the booth, products released in January this year, such as the 'N-TC01 | Task Chair' and 'WK Lounge chair 01', will be displayed, recreating more personal work environments like homes. Two Meeting Spaces Featuring New Products A compact meeting space is configured using 'Piraeus Chair' and 'Piraeus Table' by new designer Léonard Kadid. These feature an architectural presence inspired by the Port of Piraeus in Athens and a cantilever design that challenges the structural limits of domestic oak. Another space features the 'Spectrum Workstation Round ST' designed by Geckeler Michels, equipped with a cable box, and the wooden 'CAP Chair' with a swivel mechanism co-created with TAF Architects. This showcases a circular meeting space style attracting attention for both home and office use. Lounge Composed of ASICS Collaboration Sofas We will exhibit the 'ASICS EDITION' sofa series, realized through a collaboration between , a global company from Japan, and , using discarded shoes as raw materials. These utilize materials used in ASICS shoes such as 'NEOCURVE™' and 'NEOTIDE™'.
