Publication Commemoration of 'Canada with Junji Takasago, A Field of Great Nature: Canada National Park Activity Guide': Photographer Junji Takasago's Exhibition & Talk Event at Nikon Plaza Tokyo and Osaka

Destination Canada, in commemoration of the publication of the booklet 'Canada with Junji Takasago, A Field of Great Nature: Canada National Park Activity Guide' jointly produced with Nikon Imaging Japan Inc. (a subsidiary of Nikon Corporation) and Nikkei National Geographic Inc., will hold a photography exhibition and a talk event featuring photographer Junji Takasago at Nikon Plaza Tokyo and Osaka. In this project, Junji Takasago's works featuring the nature and wildlife he photographed in various parts of Canada will be exhibited, alongside a talk event where he will speak about behind-the-scenes episodes of the shoots and his thoughts infused into the works. Through these photographs, visitors will be able to experience the majestic charm of Canada's nature. The booklet produced ahead of this project introduces scenery, wildlife, and nature experiences exclusive to Canada, as well as the appeal of carefully selected national parks, conservation efforts, Indigenous tourism initiatives, and activities for travelers. Furthermore, a conversation between Junji Takasago and a Nikon lens designer is also included. He has visited countries worldwide from the tropics to the poles, photographing themes such as the connection of nature, the cycle of water and life, and the relationship between humans and nature across the earth—underwater, wildlife, rainbows, landscapes, and starry skies. He won the grand prize in the "Natural Artistry" category of the "Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2022," considered the pinnacle of nature photography. He has authored over 30 books, held numerous photo exhibitions, and continually conveys the importance of nature and humanity's role on earth through various media.
