MOTEX Inc. (Headquarters: Yodogawa-ku, Osaka; President: Hiroyuki Tokumo), as part of its security awareness initiatives, announced that its cybersecurity handbook 'Security: 7 Habits and 20 Cases,' released on February 2, 2026, has surpassed 26,000 total copies and downloads within just two months. In response to this milestone, MOTEX has launched sales on Amazon and Kindle and released free lecture videos based on the handbook's content for security training.

Background and Overview of the Initiative: In recent years, cyber-attack methods have become increasingly sophisticated and diverse, leading to an increase in incidents caused by human actions, such as phishing emails and improper information management. Against this backdrop, the importance of improving individual security literacy is growing. However, many organizations struggle to implement or continue education due to the burden of preparing content or a lack of specialized knowledge.

In response, MOTEX released the handbook in February 2026 as part of its co-creative security awareness project 'NO MORE Information Leak 2050.' This edition redefines the 'essential security literacy' required today, nine years after the original 2017 version, and is restructured as a 'handy guide for daily practice.' Since its release, it has received a significant response, with 22,000 printed copies issued and 4,000 PDF downloads.

Availability on Amazon and Kindle: To reach more people and promote usage, MOTEX has added Amazon and Kindle Store options to its existing digital versions (PDF and note). This move addresses feedback from users who want physical copies for study or to introduce them in bulk for corporate training. The prices are set to the minimum required for printing and distribution costs (1,250 JPY for print, 100 JPY for Kindle) as part of a social contribution activity. Any small profits will be fully reinvested into the 'NO MORE Information Leak 2050' project.

Free Release of Lecture Videos: Furthermore, MOTEX has added new 'Lecture Videos' to its security education content. These videos are designed for those who have suddenly been tasked with security training but don't know how to teach or lack confidence in speaking. These videos join existing resources like educational slides, test formats, and posters, aiming to create an environment where training can be conducted easily. The videos are available for free on YouTube and a special website.

MOTEX will continue to contribute to the improvement of security literacy in companies and organizations through the spread and standardization of security education.
