SEA Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture; Representative Director: Zenichi Kato), which provides consulting services to builders and contractors nationwide regarding smart houses, has issued a 'Regional Revitalization/SDGs Support Private Placement Bond (Regional Activation Type)' for 50 million yen, with The Hachijuni Bank, Ltd. acting as the commissioned and underwriting financial institution. In conjunction with the issuance of this bond, the company donated 100,000 yen to the Joetsu City Environmental Policy Division to support regional contributions and initiatives toward realizing a decarbonized society. A presentation ceremony was held at the Joetsu City Hall on March 27, 2026 (Friday). ■ Background of the Donation to the Joetsu City Environmental Policy Division and Our Vision In recent years, due to rising primary energy prices caused by international conditions, Japan has seen continuous increases in electricity and gasoline prices, placing a significant burden on household finances. To realize a lifestyle free from the anxiety of such external factors, our company is promoting 'local production for local consumption of electricity.' We are developing and popularizing 'Smart Off-Grid Houses™' that do not require purchasing electricity, utilizing off-grid technology, energy storage systems, and AI cloud HEMS. Furthermore, considering energy supply and disaster risks—especially as a region adjacent to the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant in Niigata Prefecture—we aim to build a regional energy system capable of self-sufficiency during disasters. This donation was made because our vision of developing infrastructure for a VPP (Virtual Power Plant) and DR (Demand Response) society aligns with the environmental policies and decarbonization goals promoted by the Joetsu City Environmental Policy Division.

Moving forward, we will continue to share the know-how of these 'household-protecting' houses that do not require purchased electricity with builders across the country, contributing to the optimization of energy and the creation of sustainable living throughout Japan. ■ About the Donation Presentation Ceremony The ceremony was held in the reception room of the Joetsu City Hall Kida First Government Building. Zenichi Kato, Representative Director of SEA Co., Ltd., presented the donation, followed by a discussion regarding the promotion of regional environmental policies and decarbonization.
