(Headquarters: Kuramae, Taito-ku, Tokyo / CEO: Riki Ono / hereinafter referred to as Ethical Spirits), a distilling startup that disseminates a new manufacturing culture from Kuramae, Tokyo to the world through craft gin that brings out the value of unused materials, will launch new 200ml and 700ml bottles for its two ethical gin products, "CACAO ÉTHIQUE" and "KYOTO PEPPER ÉTHIQUE," under the ethical gin brand "ÉTHIQUE," which were previously sold in 375ml bottles, starting July 1st.

For "CACAO ÉTHIQUE" 200ml bottle, although it has been produced and sold on a limited basis until now, this will be the first time it is offered as a regularly sold product.

Background of the Development of 200ml and 700ml Bottles

Ethical Spirits was founded in 2020. Initially, due to the impact of the novel coronavirus, we focused on providing 375ml hip flask-shaped bottles as a size that could be enjoyed at home.

As shopping at supermarkets and dining out have recovered, demand for 200ml bottles that can be easily picked up and 700ml bottles that are convenient for use in izakayas and bars has increased, leading to the development of these new sizes.

The packaging adopts a window-frame-shaped label that reflects the design of the hip flask-shaped bottles that Ethical Spirits has used for a long time.

About the Ethical Gin Brand "ÉTHIQUE"

"ÉTHIQUE" is an ethical gin brand that focuses on individual "wasteful" ingredients whose "deliciousness" is not yet known, such as cacao husks and "Kyo no Ki-shinju," one of Kyoto's new traditional vegetables, and maximizes and conveys their deliciousness.

Currently, we sell two types: "CACAO ÉTHIQUE" and "KYOTO PEPPER ÉTHIQUE."

A gin that allows you to enjoy the unknown "deliciousness" of "cacao husk," the discarded skin of cacao used in chocolate making. Based on the tropical ginjo aroma derived from the base spirit, the roasted aroma and sweet aftertaste of cacao husk are enhanced.

<KYOTO PEPPER ÉTHIQUE>

A gin that allows you to enjoy the unknown "deliciousness" of "Kyo no Ki-shinju," a new traditional vegetable cultivated by Kyoto City in collaboration with academic institutions and producers. It utilizes the fruity and spicy aroma of Kyo no Ki-shinju, and is finished with sake lees shochu with a gorgeous aroma, juniper berries, and Kyo no Ki-shinju.

Please note that due to rising raw material costs and increased production volume, changes to raw materials and recipes have been made effective from shipments on July 1, 2026. The taste, which enhances the fruity and spicy aroma of Kyo no Ki-shinju, remains unchanged.
