Mercure Wakayama Kushimoto Resort & Spa Launches Three Summer Special Accommodation Plans

## Crafting a unique 'Sea Urchin Lamp' with shells and driftwood collected from the Kushimoto Sea Mercure Wakayama Kushimoto Resort & Spa, an all-inclusive resort hotel located on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Kushimoto-cho, Wakayama Prefecture, is launching three accommodation plans recommended for family summer vacations. These include the 'Sea Urchin Lamp Crafting Experience Plan,' where guests can learn about the Kushimoto sea while creating original crafts; the 'Sparklers Included Plan' for making summer memories; and the 'Pool Floats & Beach Ball Included Plan' for enjoying the pool. Combined with the summer-exclusive garden pool, guests can enjoy a resort stay unique to Kushimoto. ### Plan 1: Learn about the Kushimoto Sea! Sea Urchin Lamp Crafting Experience Plan Guests can create a unique 'sea urchin lamp' using sea urchin shells, seashells, and sea glass collected from the Kushimoto sea, guided by local experts. The experience helps guests understand the rich marine environment fostered by the Kuroshio Current and makes for an excellent summer school project. Since it is held indoors, guests can enjoy it regardless of the weather. Period: July 1 (Wed) – August 30 (Sun), 2026 Includes: Sea urchin lamp crafting experience (1 per room), 1-night/2-day stay, dinner/breakfast buffet, lounge access, garden pool, and hot springs. ### Plan 2: Enjoy Summer at the Resort! Sparklers Included Plan This plan includes a set of sparklers for creating special summer evening memories with family and friends after a day at the pool. ### Plan 3: Enjoy the Pool! Pool Floats & Beach Ball Included Plan Designed for families who want to travel light, this plan includes pool inflatables that guests can take home. ### Summer-Exclusive Garden Pool Located in the courtyard on the hotel's first floor, the garden pool offers a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean. It features both adult pools and a 30cm-deep children's pool, making it safe for small children.
