Swissôtel Nankai Osaka to Celebrate Pride Month in June with Inclusive Events, Limited Cocktail and Performances

Osaka, Japan - Swissôtel Nankai Osaka, a hotel with Swiss roots located in Chuo-ku, Osaka and led by General Manager Shane Edwards, will host a range of events and offer a limited-time drink in June to celebrate Pride Month, diversity and individuality. On the 10th floor, retro bar Nambar 10 will present a varied entertainment lineup during Pride Month, including drag performances, DJ sets and dance nights. The venue will also feature interactive programs designed for everyone to enjoy together, allowing guests to join casually. Visitors can enjoy the events with the Pride Month limited special drink, Frozen Rosé. Swissôtel Nankai Osaka became the first hotel in Asia to receive IGLTA Accreditation in 2023, recognizing its LGBTQ+ inclusive initiatives in the travel industry, and continues to maintain the certification. The hotel is also certified by the Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau as an LGBTQ+ friendly hotel. Frozen Rosé is a June Pride Month limited cocktail made by arranging Killbinbin rosé, known for its refreshing acidity, in a slushy style. Guests can enjoy its bright, playful flavor with berry-like tartness. It will be available from Wednesday, June 3 to Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Nambar 10 on the 10th floor, priced at JPY 1,000. Drag Queen Bingo with Natto Maki will be a special bingo night featuring powerful drag queen performances and lively talk. Natto Maki, a drag performer based in Osaka and active across the Kansai region, will host the event. Guests can enjoy a bingo game with deluxe prizes in a festive atmosphere. The event will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, with doors opening at 16:00 and the event starting at 16:30, at retro bar Nambar 10 on the 10th floor. Admission is JPY 3,000 and includes one drink and one bingo card. Additional bingo cards can be purchased on the day for JPY 200 each. The June edition of Otsukare Friday will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026. On the last Friday of each month, Otsukare Friday offers 90 minutes of all-you-can-drink beer, wine, highballs and soft drinks from 19:00 to 20:30 at a 30% discount, priced at JPY 2,170 instead of the regular JPY 3,100. Comfortable music by a DJ will set the mood, making it ideal for an after-work drink. In June, the event will be held in an even more vibrant atmosphere in celebration of Pride Month. The voguing event Time Travel Pride Kiki Ball will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Voguing is a dance style born from New York ballroom culture, and the event offers guests the chance to express themselves freely while walking the runway. Observation-only participation is also available. HIHA PINKLADY, a vogue dancer active in ballroom scenes in Japan and overseas, will host the event and energize the venue with dynamic production informed by experience studying the culture in New York and contributing to the scene in Asia. The event will also include contests across multiple categories, with winners receiving prize money of up to JPY 30,000 and trophies. Judges will include a diverse lineup of performers active in domestic and international ballroom scenes, including dancers and drag queens. Doors open at 15:00 and the event begins at 16:00. Admission is JPY 3,500, including runway participation or viewing plus one drink; runway participation is optional. Admission at the door will be JPY 4,000.
